Business Award Strategy
Award-winning starts with strategy, not with entry writing.
From King's Awards for Enterprise to sector and regional awards, I help ambitious founders and entrepreneurs identify the right categories, build a compelling case, and maximise their chances of winning.
Strategy first, writing second
Most people come to me thinking they need someone to write an award entry. What they actually need is someone to tell them which award, which category, and when - because getting that right matters more than just about any sentence I could write for you.
Before I write a word, I assess where your business genuinely stands out, what the judges in a specific category are looking for, and whether this is the right year to enter at all. Sometimes the best strategic advice is 'not yet.'
The range I work across
I've worked on everything from King's Awards for Enterprise to British Citizen Awards (BCA), alongside national business awards, sector-specific awards and regional awards.
Different categories reward different things - a regional award often wants community impact, a national one wants scale and evidence. Knowing the difference is half the strategy.
Who this is for
I work with business owners and entrepreneurs for whom this is personal, not just commercial - people who've built something as an expression of who they are, not merely a vehicle for selling.
If that's you, the question isn't whether you're ready to be judged; it's who you trust enough to entrust your story to.
READY TO TALK?
Every award strategy starts with a conversation about your business, not with a template.
Not ready to talk yet?
If a King's Awards for Enterprise feels like the right ambition but you're not sure where to start, I've mapped out exactly what each category is actually looking for.
Tell me which category fits your business, and I'll personally send you a free pathway guide - what the judges want, what ‘ready’ actually looks like, and where most entries fall down before they're even submitted.
